Alex Bourt

I’m a design engineer with over ten years of experience building production-ready interfaces and software products. My work spans modern web development (React, TypeScript, Node.js) as well as systems engineering in C#, .NET, and C++. I focus is user-centered with attention to usability, accessibility, and long-term maintainability — whether I’m developing new features, improving an existing codebase, or designing UI flows that reduce complexity for users.

I’ve worked in both structured environments and fast-moving product teams, and I enjoy mentoring junior developers, simplifying technical decisions, and improving developer experience. I’ve also built and shipped complete products independently, which strengthened my ability to manage priorities, think end-to-end, and move quickly without compromising quality.
