• Created new mobility collections for Beauflor USA, a market-leading manufacturer of vinyl flooring. The vice-president of design and marketing tasked me to create 4 collections for recreational vehicles (RV) . Aiming to showcase the potential of untapped customer segments and illustrate the benefits of design thinking and new design processes to internal and external customers. By identifying new user groups, and their user journeys to create flooring that does more than cover the floor but performs other functions. We also explored vinyl's potential beyond a flooring material in the mobility segment, by using the material to create 3-dimensional spaces and furniture.

• In a project for a seating manufacturer aimed at elevating the interior and functionality of commercial vehicles, I redesigned automotive seating to meet the dual objectives of premium feel and durability; crucial for the B2B market. This endeavor involved selecting new materials and crafting colour & trim schemes that enhanced the visual appeal of the fabric, inserts, and plastic components. Recognizing the demands of commercial vehicle usage, special emphasis was placed on choosing materials that could withstand extensive wear and tear, ensuring longevity and delivering a premium experience. This approach to seating not only elevated the product to a premium category but also aligned with the practical needs of businesses, offering them a blend of sophistication and durability.

• For Pasubio -Italy's largest leather tannery- I was tasked with trend forecasting, visual research, and strategic design for their annual trendbook, which included creating mood boards and working closely with the customer on leather processing techniques. • At Fisheye, I was part of the design team, redesigning the studios for news and talk shows for the NOS (Dutch National Broadcasting), blending technology with design elements. My primary task was to contribute to the new visual and functional direction that aligned with the broadcaster's goals of modernising the news. This involved creating mood boards to establish a visual language, designing interiors and furniture that supported various broadcasting needs, and drafting detailed technical drawings to ensure feasibility. One of my responsibilities was conducting feasibility studies. These helped us navigate the challenges of integrating innovative designs within the constraints of space, technology, and budget. Managing the project from concept through completion, I worked closely with a team of designers, contractors, and the technical staff at Fisheye and at the NOS, focusing on keeping the project on track and keeping the design intent. The project's outcome was a set of redesigned studios that met the client's technical requirements and aesthetic expectations. While the project was well-received, it was a learning opportunity for project management and pushing design with practical considerations. It also enhanced my understanding of the importance of collaboration in complex projects.
