Arthur Thuet

I started two companies in 2017.

The first one, Saviu Ventures, is a VC firm operating in Subsaharan Africa and investing in tech companies at pre-seed, seed and series A stages. So far we participated in 35+ funding rounds over 14 companies. As Managing Partner, I was in charge of:

- the entire investment process (sourcing, due dil, terms negotiation, legal etc.)

- the post-investment operational support (board seat, business dev, HR, mentoring etc.)

- our 30+ Limited Partner's management (fundraising and reporting)

- handling G&A stuff as in any company (accounting, financial forecasting, admin, legal etc.)

The second one, Kamtar, is a logistics startup operating in West Africa. I've been the CEO of this company in 2017-2018 and again in 2021-2022. From 2017 to 2022, we went from 0 to 60 employees, raised 3 rounds of funding and reached €600k of monthly revenue. As CEO, over the first period of time, my duty was to create a structure that would allow the company to get traction. Over the second period of time, my duty was basically to make sure we had the right people at the right position, help them make quick decisions, find money, manage my Board of Directors and build exit routes.
