A software developer, having an unbroken career of nearly 25 years, throughout all of this time I have focused on my main skill, JavaScript, and more recently, Typescript, and have worked with multiple frameworks and development models. For the last 6 years I have concentrated on the React.js framework, continually updating my knowledge to cater to changes dictated in the subsequent React versions, as well as common fullstack solutions such as Next.js
I have excellent experience of ECMAscript in general, and actively invest my time in learning and understanding other frameworks. I have in the past worked extensively with Angular.js and Angular2-8, as well numerous legacy libraries no longer commonly employed. I am fully conversant in the HTML standard, implementation of accessibility guidelines and the use of screen readers, as well as the majority of data object standards . I take an active interest in future-proofing my skill set by learning and experimenting with newer technologies.
My work has also provided me with a great deal of experience in back end development, such that I have a good understanding of languages such as Java and PHP, and I have extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, having worked on large scale data models throughout my career.
I have excellent communication skills, and am able to work with any size team. I am always attentive to detail, and remain motivated, pro-active and productive at all times, and as a senior developer I make sure to be helpful and informative when asked, and show willing when required to help others.

The unit employs Test Driven Development methodologies, using Jest as the FE test suite. Development is planned and implemented in a strict Agile environment, using management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and code management and deployment using Bitbucket and Bamboo. All work is delivered remotely, using AWS workspaces, which I also had a major part in deploying.
